Mt. Kenya is the second-highest mountain in Africa after Kilimanjaro and has several rivers, gorges and lakes found in the Park. See the spectacular sunrise when summiting Point Lenana, 4985m above sea level, which is an achievable challenge for any fit person. For those wanting technical climbing on the summits of Batian or Nelion, we can provide an English speaking technical guide at extra cost.

Day 1: Nairobi - Chogoria Depart from Nairobi with the mountain guide, drive through Makuyu arriving Chogoria in time for lunch. Afternoon walk for acclimatization, dinner and overnight at Chogoria. Alt.2000m 3hrs 200km
Day 2: Chogoria – Mt. Kenya Bandas After breakfast, 20km then 12km walk drive to the Mt.Kenya Bandas, 3000m dinner/overnight. 32km - 5hrs.
Day 3: Mt. Kenya Bandas – Lake Ellis Leave late in the morning after a late breakfast, then hike up to Lake Ellis arriving at noon.
Day 4: Lake Ellis – Minto’s Hut Wake up early in the morning have breakfast, then hike up to Minto's Hut arriving at noon. Visit the temples in the Gorges Valley and return to Minto's. Dinner and overnight 13km - 7hrs.
Day 5: Minto’s Hut – Point Lenana Summit – Mackinder’s Camp Very early breakfast, then depart 2:00 am then ascend at night getting to Point Lenana at 6.30 am for sunrise. Enjoy the spectacular views of the neighboring peaks of Nelion and Batian, and on clear mornings you may see Mt.Kilimanjaro in the distance. Descend down to MacKinder's camp in the Teleki valley for a full breakfast. Rest of the day at camp.
Day 6: Mackinder’s – Met Station Depart after breakfast then walk along the Teleki Valley to Met Station (3030m) for lunch, dinner and overnight.
Day 7: MetStation - Nairobi Depart Met Station depart after breakfast walk through the rain forest to Naromoru gate check-out and connect transport to Nairobi. 1 pax US$1150 2 pax US$1050 per person 3 pax US$960 per person 4/5/6 pax US$890 per person
